My story;
“Growing up in a small town with a large family, I was often a caretaker for youngsters. I took my first First Aid/ CPR course at age 12 and began babysitting for pocket money. I had always been very interested in science, health and wellness. My mother is a nurse and I would read her medical textbooks for fun as a child. I studied massage therapy with the intention of going back to college for a 4 year degree in something more academic, but I found a great love for helping others through bodywork. Prenatal massage was always my favorite modality, and I became fascinated with my postpartum client’s birth stories when they were open to sharing. When a younger cousin came to me asking for support through her pregnancy, life began shifting for me. I performed some induction massage on her after she had been in labor for three days, and her baby was born quickly after. That’s when I realized that I could make an impact in this field. I began pursuing more knowledge and my body of work has been unfolding ever since.”
